Reviews of the CD:
      CEMENT MONKEY

      ALBUM NETWORK

Moon Martin is a classic example of being known, yet not recognized. Other people have recorded this singer-songwriter's compositions and achieved much success and recognizability (i.e. Robert Palmer and his version of Martin's "Bad Case Of Loving You") Now, however, Martin sets out to bring himself to the fore with his Core debut, "Cement Monkey". The six-song EP displays Martin's artistic penchant for penning arresting songs with a definite emotional truthfulness, delivered with his plaintive vocal drawl. Songs such as "Enemy" and "Stuck Inside Of Mobile (With The Memphis Blues Again)" (made famous by Bob Dylan) demonstrates the magical qualities that have made Moon Martin a star in Europe for years, and hopefully will finally garner him the attention that has eluded him in his homeland. Other songs worthy of more than a cursory listen include "With A Girl", "Never Could Say Goodbye" and "Let It Rock".
